Terre à Terre 2011 Botrytis Pinot Gris
A very aromatic and pretty style from Wrattonbully in South Australia for those looking for a little more elegance in their dessert wines. Sweet pear, honey and blossom give way to a silky smooth palate finishing long and elegant. The kind of dessert wine that demands a second glass.
Pascal Cotat 2010 Les Montes Damnes Sancerre
Although not a large producer in Sancerre, Pascal Cotat is a leader in the area with outstanding wines that show fantastic fruit focus and complexity. Smoky and subtle with grapefruit aromas underlined by a subtle green edge, there is also a richness of texture, all kept in check by streamlined acidity. Superb now, but it will improve over the next five years.
